Meet the Copahee Cotton Crew
Janice
Described by friends and family as a Southern-style Martha Stewart, Janice is the fearless leader of our operation. With the princess-like charm of Snow White and the undefeatable attitude of someone who watched a lot of He-Man growing up, she is an unstoppable force when it comes to pursuing a vision. Whether she is designing a custom piece in a one-on-one session with a client, preparing to stitch an elegant monogram, or arranging hydrangea blooms for a once-in-a-lifetime event, Janice leaves no small detail unaddressed.
Janice has an eye for the delicate and enjoys making everyday life special for those around her. Over the years, Janice has had the privilege of bringing many creative ideas to reality, from ribbon printed with hand-drawn designs to bustling retail store fronts selling screen-printed tees, to sweet summer weddings in Charleston. What sets her work apart is her attention to the little things. Her manner with clients is conversational and authentic, leading to collaborations that are not only beautiful, but rich with meaning.
Rachel
Rachel was Janice’s first model, modeling the sweetest bows with the chubbiest cheeks! She grew up in the back room of the family’s gift stores, soothed by the hum of embroidery machines and the steady rhythms of screen print equipment making its rounds.
Now an all grown up married lady, Rachel’s driven by curiosity, imagination, and a lifelong love of storytelling. Rachel serves as Copahee Cotton’s resident illustrator and author. You can often find her sketching out dreamy visions to adorn your home, stationery, and apparel. When she’s not working, you’ll find her on a boat or the beach reading an Austen or Brontë novel.
Claire
Claire is the latest addition to our team. With the spirit and gusto of a 1940’s errand boy wearing a flat cap, she is a logistics mastermind. Her specialties include perfect comedic timing, drawing adorable animals on napkins, coordinating elaborate outfits for mundane errands, and conveniently disappearing when the dishwasher needs unloading. Claire enjoys her shows with extra drama and her bows with extra fluff. You'll find her petting the nearest dog.
